for those maybe familiar with my fakemon project, the Lapeo Region, where I'm making a fakedex based entirely on prehistoric creatures and whatnot--

well, I recently made a whole page on my site dedicated to it, so you can scroll through the whole dex! I'm currently expanding on it again, so there's a couple new faces there that haven't shown up anywhere else yet hehe

After Tumblr's backend migration to Wordpress, will the entire content of all half of billion blogs will be deleted??

Answer: Hi, @garotaviciada!

It’s important to note here that this is just the engine running the site, and there will be no changes to the front-end. So no—we’re not deleting content. All of Tumblr’s blogs, and the content on them, will continue to be served, both at the blog address and in the apps. There will just be different tech running under the hood.

Perhaps the simplest way to say so is that, besides a bug or two here or there, how you know and use Tumblr will not change at all. We hope this helps clarify things.

The Volume tabs in the document are based on how Merebear organizes them. For a table based on the how the original Chinese chapters/volumes are organized, please see the wiki pages here.

Just a heads up, the way the original Chinese chapters/volumes are organized is very confusing (which is why Merebear organizes them differently).

Additionally, I have created a WordPress to archive the online Chinese versions of the DMBJ novels and short stories. However, it's currently a work in progress. So, hopefully soon many of the stories will be easier to access for the international fandom.

my final verdict now that i am nearing the end of this clusterfuck is that if you are setting up your own website to sell or paywall content you should not bother sending a newsletter unless you're really fucking determined

i am now paying for

SMTP2GO to actually process emails and not have them get sent straight to spam (note that the free version of this works fine for basic account stuff for your users) [this is $10 a month or $100 a year]

MailPoet refused to actually send emails for me but i still have to pay for the creator plan that doesn't include processing emails, because that's the only way to ensure that only paying members get emails (sending emails to nonpaying members would make it even more expensive) [this is $11 a month or $114 a year]

a PO box, because you're required to have an address in the footer of your emails and i'm not giving out my home address [this is $19 every three months or $58 a year]

none of which i would have to do if i just kept saying "if you want emails use an rss to email service like feedrabbit, here's a link, good fucking luck"

Dearest hearts,

In the time since I was last active here, so many things have happened. I left the city, moved to a farm, lost my dad. It's been a lot. And I do come here sometimes, but I'm still scrambling to keep up with my work (farming for a living with climate change is...a challenge) so it's not like before.

But I miss you. And as I was sitting on the porch with my coffee this morning, watching the birds, I thought I might tell you that. I was active here during the darkest parts of my life, and finding The Amazing Devil's music, and all of you wonderful people with it, got me through the worst of it. And now I have a life which has difficulties, yes—but in the mornings I get to drink coffee and watch birds building nests in a tree that I planted. And I wouldn't have survived to this point if I didn't have a lifeline. So thank you. Truly, thank you.

I hope, wherever you are, that you also have something good to cling to today. Good music, good friends, little moments of peace in the chaos.

To me, Love and Gratitude are two words that are interlinked.

To love is to be grateful.

Grateful about every small thing that someone does for you or even those that you do for yourself.

Grateful for every moment spent together and even the ones spent apart because near or far, your love only grows stronger for each other.

Grateful because from all the people they could choose, they chose you and you chose them at the exact same moment.

Grateful because no matter what, this remains untouched, nothing changes this love, nothing even comes close.

Grateful because you can exist in silence with this person and yet love remains and love grows.

Grateful because you never fell in love, you rose in it, it took you closer to becoming your higher self- a better version of you.

Happy birthday, Shele Pinizzotto! (April 2, 1947 – February 4, 2014)

Honoring Shele today, without whom the hard rock/blues rock '70s band Birtha would not have rocked quite as hard (especially considering she was the rhythm/lead guitarist in the four piece band - and what a fabulous guitarist, at that)! My hope is that 2025 (at least) is the year of the Birtha renaissance, when people discover (or even re-discover!) what a good hard rock band Birtha was, and how important it is still to appreciate the awesome music they gifted to us and to recognize how hard these four musicians worked to make the fabulous music that we better either head-bang or dance to (or both) forevermore. BIRTHA ROCKS! 🤘

I figured out a day or two ago that SSO Ridethrough still exists. The unique domain name just expired, so it's back to using a wordpress url, which is why a bunch of the old links don't work

So if you guys want to see the Old Quest Dialogue (like 2018 and earlier), look for ssoridethrough.wordpress.com (not linking it directly because we all know tumblr can be weird about links). If a link on the site doesn't work trying the search function instead, so far it's worked for me.
